Richard J. Krieger Sr.

Millport-Richard J. Krieger Sr., 82, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 8, 1943, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Leo L. and Elizabeth (Linde) Krieger.

Richard was a lifelong area resident. He retired as a heavy equipment operator. Richard was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Summitville. His hobbies included bowling, woodworking and attending tractor pulls. He was a pool shark, winning many pool tournaments. Richard especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy “Carol” (Wright) Krieger whom he married February 23, 1963; two daughters, Brenda (Bill) Stewart of Lisbon and Lorie Wilson of Salem; four granddaughters; two grandsons; four great granddaughters; five great grandsons; one great-great grandson; three sisters and two brothers. He is also survived by his dog and furry companion, Rusty.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richie Krieger Jr.; one grandson, Kirk Krieger; one brother and one sister.
