Richard A. "Dick" Simballa

Lisbon- Richard A. "Dick" Simballa, 83, of Cream Ridge Rd., passed away peacefully at 11:37 am, Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home.Mr. Simballa was born January 19, 1931 in East Liverpool, a son of the late Joseph Carl and Anna Martha (Eckert) Simballa, and had lived in the area all of his life.A 1949 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Dick worked at Colt Steel in Midland, Pa. for 32 years, until he retired in 1982. He also worked his family farm since 1957. He also proudly served our country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War.His wife, Mary Catherine (Hart) Simballa, whom he married February 12, 1961, preceded him in death November 16, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Mary Henderson and Jane Ann Hasala.He is survived and will be sadly missed by his daughter, Mary Catherine Simballa of the home; sons, Kenneth Albert (Michele) Simballa and Kevin John Simballa, both of Lisbon; brothers, Robert John Simballa of Lisbon and Joseph Francis (June) Simballa of East Liverpool; and grandchildren, Hannah Michele, Sarah Irene, Rachel Ann and Russell Richard Simballa, all of Lisbon.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating.
