Salem- Robert Scott “Bob” Borden, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his home.
Bob was born June 21, 1958 in Orange, New Jersey, a son of the late Richard Wallace Borden and the late Barbara (Blocksom) Kreie and had lived in the area most of his life.
He worked as a sales manager for 19 years at R&M Fluidpower in Youngstown and also worked as a landscaper and site preparation throughout his life.
He was a member of Greenford Christian Church and the Salem Am Vets. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and riding his Harley. He was very artistic and enjoyed painting in watercolors and playing his guitar. Bob was a social person and never knew a stranger. Although he had many interests, spending time with his family was the most important aspect of his life.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Tina (Fowler) Borden, whom he married August 18, 1979; his children, Brandy Lynn (Marcus Iammatteo) Borden and Richard Craig (Lauren) Borden; siblings, B. Brooke Brantingham and Richard Christopher Borden; grandchildren, Easton and Cullen Borden; his beloved cat, Georgie; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Greenford Christian Church, 11767 Lisbon Rd., Greenford, Ohio 44422 with Pastor John Bush officiating. Private burial will take place at the Lisbon Cemetery on Tuesday morning.
The family will receive guests from 11am until the time of services Monday at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
