Lisbon- Robert R. “Bob” Hunt, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Hunt was born June 12, 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Fitchu Lee and Cora G. (Abston) Hunt and had lived in the Lisbon area for the past 50 years coming from the Ann Arbor, Michigan area.
Bob owned and operated a truck parts business with his brothers and sons for many years.
In his younger years, Bob enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He was also a Michigan Wolverine fan. But the most important aspect of his life was his family. He found great joy and pleasure watching and supporting his children and grandchildren as he attended all of their sporting events and activities.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Kathryn “Kathy” (Harrison) Hunt, whom he married June 3, 1962; sons, Robert R. Hunt, Jr, Darryl Hunt, and Brian (Tammy) Hunt, all of Lisbon; grandchildren, Tony (Ashley) Hunt, Weston (Peyton) Hunt, Colton (Courtney) Hunt, and Austin Hunt; and great grandchildren, Raelynn Hunt, Hudson Hunt, Layla Hunt, and Bryson Hunt.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Lee Hunt, Jr,, Harold Hunt, Jimmy Hunt, Doris Jean Weaver, and Jessie Hunt, Sr. and daughter-in-law, Linda Hunt.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Friday at the funeral home.
