Sandra I. Boyce

Lisbon- Sandra I. Boyce, 84, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Hospice of the Valley’s Hospice House.

Mrs. Boyce was born September 10, 1940 in Center Township on the family homestead.  She was a daughter of the late Clifford and Hazel Alma (Stapelton) Shaw and had lived in the area all of her life.

A 1958 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Sandy worked as a deputy recorder at the Columbiana County Records office for 20 years, retiring in 2004.  She worked for over 31 years for Columbiana County, working in various county offices.

A former member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, Sandy was a life member of the Lisbon Grange; Past Matron, Order of Eastern Star, Iva Chapter; and member of Pandora Rebekah Lodge 743 IOOF of Columbiana.

Her husband, Robert W. Boyce, whom she married December 6, 1969, preceded her in death September 23, 1973.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Becky (David) Tolson of Lisbon; son, Robert Boyce of Lisbon; sisters, Ruth Ann (the late William) Bailey of Lisbon, JoAnn (the late Charles) Harris of Salem, and Karen (James) Sadler; grandchildren, Lucus Tolson and Courtney (Logan) Foor; great granddaughter, Mila Foor.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sandy was also preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor Bates and Marjorie Pannier.

Private graveside services for the family will be held at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon.

The family will receive guests from 6pm to 8pm, Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
