LISBON – Sheryl L. "Sheree" Mollenkopf, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
She was born February 4, 1957 in Salem, a daughter of the late Paul and Janet (Cope) Mollenkopf and had lived in Lisbon all of her life.
Sheree was the bookkeeper at Thompson Brothers Mining in New Springfield until she retired to stay home and take care of her mom, Janet/Velvet after she took ill. Sheree loved crotcheting, and in the 90’s, she owned the store Knit & Stitch in downtown Lisbon and there was even a crotchet club. Sheree also volunteered whenever asked, The Lisbon Chamber, Johnny Appleseed Festival, The Republican Headquarters, and all the fairs and festivals. Her and Velvet were not just Mother and Daughter, they were "Best Friends", and they loved to go shopping. They always attended the 4th of July Boat Parade at Guilford Lake, any fair and festival, car shows, Home and Garden Show and up to Geneva on the Lake just to sit on the beach. Sheree loved to work in the yard, mowing, planting flowers, checking the bird feeders and taking care of all the stray cats that moved in.
She is survived by a brother, Rick (Denise) Mollenkopf of Lisbon and her nieces and nephews.
Following Sheree's wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
