Tammy Siefke Obituary

Lisbon- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend, Tammy L. Siefke.  With her family by her side and with all the prayers of our community, Tammy departed this world Monday afternoon, February 26, 2024 and was greeted at heaven's gate by her loving father and other family members.  Tragically, she suffered a stroke on Wednesday, February 21st, leading to an inoperable deep brain bleed, from which she was unable to recover.

Tammy was born August 7, 1971 in Salem, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Thomas "Tom" Hinchliffe and Debbie (Grafton) Hinchliffe of Lisbon and was a 1989 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School.

Tammy will be dearly remembered as a faithful daughter, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a supportive sister, and as a friend to many.  She never missed any of her children's numerous sporting and school activities.  She was a caring, giving, volunteering person who truly enjoyed helping others.  Whether at the school with her children’s activities or out and about in the community, Tammy could always be found lending a helping hand.  From her high school days of working at the Lisbon Dairy Queen, to her family working their fruit cobbler stand at the Shaker Woods Festival, she was always busy. Tammy's love for animals was clearly evident, as she spent many countless hours volunteering at the Columbiana County Dog pound over the years. She also provided a loving home to many dogs she adopted as well as finding “fur ever” homes for many others.  Her selfless love and care for others was demonstrated one last time as she gave the gift of life and hope to others through organ and tissue donation.

In addition to her mother, Debbie Hinchliffe, Tammy is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving husband Joseph E. "Joe” Siefke, whom she married July 18, 1992; her daughter, Taylor (fiancé, Patrick Rovnak) Siefke; her son, Trevor Siefke; her brother, William (Jodie) Hinchliffe; sisters-in-law, Cathy (Jeff) Kress and Beth (Randy) McGaffick; nephews, Aaron Hinchliffe, Ashton Hinchliffe, and Logan Kress; niece, Katie (Kandi) McGaffick; maternal grandmother, Doris Grafton; mother-in-law, Marian Siefke; her beloved fur baby, Lucy; aunt and uncle, Lona and Duane Grafton; and many other family members and countless friends.

In addition to her father, Tammy was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joseph G. Siefke; her maternal grandfather, Bill Grafton; paternal grandparents, Eyler and Ruth Hinchliffe; and her aunt, Mary Beth Gasaway.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, March 1, 2024 at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, 111 East Chestnut Street, Lisbon with Rev. Bob Garwood and Pastor Phil Bartholomew officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 3pm until 8pm, Thursday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home, and from 10am until the time of services Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tammy's memory to the Columbiana County Dog Pound, 8455 County Home Rd., Lisbon, Ohio 44432.
