Salineville-Willie D. Clemens, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday October 19, 2025 at his home following a recent illness.
Willie was born September 6, 1957 in Salem. He was the son of Deane and Chloe (Justice) Clemens and lived in the area all of his life.
He was a Journeyman Millwright and was owner/operator of Clemens Bobcat Service and Clemens Garden and Gifts. Willie served two terms as Franklin Township Trustee and will be fondly remembered as a hardworking man who was always willing to lend a helping hand and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
The foundation of family that he inherited and passed on will be remembered through Kitty (Sanor) Clemens, who he married November 12, 1983, his sons, Nicholas Sanlo and Tyler (Jamie) Clemens; grandchildren, Jordyn, Makya, Cole, and Justice; great grandson, Daxton and Little Buddy “Junior”; and by his sisters, Linda (Dick) Wilson, Cindy (Bob) Brandt and Cathy Groom.
Willie was a great man of integrity, faith and didn’t know a stranger. He looked forward to giving his testimony of his journey with God. He loved his family and community. He is free of pain and is in eternal peace with Jesus.
Following his wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed.
Burial will take place at the Clemens Family Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
